About Trails Youth Initiatives

FindCamps.ca is your source for finding camps for your child.

Established in 1992, Trails is an not-for-profit organization that challenges and equips at-risk youth to become contributing members of their community. Aged 12 to 16, every year, 40 new vulnerable youth embark on their 4-6 year journey. As a permanent year-round presence, we are always accessible as a consistent, stable source of guidance for youth, parents, and teachers.

What to expect

    Half-day, full-day, and multi-week overnight sessions running late June through August.

  • Age-appropriate groups

    Most camps separate children by age (5–8, 9–12, 13+); the supported age range is on every listing.

  • Vetted operators

    Operators are licensed and insured. Many are CCI/Canada members; safety policies are linked on each listing.

How early should I register?
Popular sessions fill by early spring. Registering by April for summer programs is safest, but late availability is common — check each listing’s Register Now button.
What age range is supported?
Most camps in this directory accept children aged 5 to 17. A handful run programs for older teens and young adults (18–29). Use the age filter on the search bar to narrow down.
Are camp fees covered by any subsidy programs?
Several Canadian programs help with camp fees — Canadian Tire Jumpstart and provincial Healthy Kids initiatives are common. Ask each camp about their subsidy partnerships at registration.
